Chord’s signal cable line up consists of five different grades of RCA they are; Crimson, Cobra, Chameleon, Chorus and Anthem each offering benefits to sound through a mix of leading edge innovation as well as the application of existing technology.  Crimson features multi strand oxygen free copper conductors with a low density polyethylene dielectric all contained within floating lapped shielding inside a vibration damping PVC covering and terminated with gold-plated RCA connectors. The send and return paths are perfectly matched to avoid any distortion or loss from adjacent cables or internal eddy currents. In contrast, the mouth wateringly expensive Anthem signal cables use a silver plated multi strand signal conductor a silver plated combined shielding system and Teflon insulation inside and out, terminated with ultra low mass silver plated non-compression RCA’s.

Speakers cable is equally highly spec’d and also consists of a number of ranges to suit your performance requirements. Known as; Leyline, Carnival, Odyssey and Epic. Chord also produces a whole range of HDMI cables plus three grades of digital and optical cables. It is a measure of Chord’s desire to lead that even the lowly 3.5mm cable has been given the Chord treatment.

Much has been made of the black art of cables and there affect on audio signals. Chord have taken this on the chin in the past, along with many other manufacturers and have to concede that in the past there have been products which claimed to improve sound but, in analysis offer little or no advantage.
