Due to our reputation for quality installations and our ability to improve the audio experience within customers vehicles to the level which they experience with their home AV systems we were approached by our local Saab dealer to produce an audio up grade that would improve upon the standard audio which was fitted by Saab at the factory.

The dealer had been contacted by a customer who upon changing his old 2004 model Saab 9-3 for a 2007 model was very pleased with his new vehicle with one exception. The customer was disappointed that the car audio quality had been drastically reduced and no upgrade options were available from Saab UK to resolve this problem.

This is when the local Saab after sales Manager called the boys at Cambridge Car Audio. He called Steve at his local Four Master, explained his customers issues with the sound quality. Steve at Cambridge Car Audio was happy to take on the challenge and provide a solution to the dilemma.

Knowing we have the ability to give the customer the audio experience he was expecting whilst maintaining the integrity of the car and still keeping the required 3 year warranty. For Cambridge Car Audio Visual this was a fairly basic job. The factory amplifier gives out four full range outputs. Steve considered that it was just the speakers that were sub-standard. As the dealer was to stand the cost of this upgrade the cost was somewhat an issue, leading to the choice of Hertx Dieci front components and Energy 6×9′s in the rear factory locations with a good splattering of Skinz sound deadening products within the front speaker location points.

The final result has now allowed the customer to actually listen to the music in his car now rather than hear it.  The Saab dealer is now happy in the knowledge the audio warranty will outlast that of the car. The customer was so pleased he called Steve.”I didn’t realize the sound from my car could ever give me the clarity of my home stereo” Remarked the customer after listening to the speaker installation. At the end of the phone call we then booked the owner of the Saab in for a further upgrade to take his install to the next level.

The Saab dealer has also booked a further two vehicles in to have the same Hertz Audio upgrade installed.
