Ultimate Street Car for the ultimate Hertz experience. FOUR MASTERS has it’s biggest and best show presence yet planned for Ultimate Street Car at Santa Pod on 5th-7th August. A live DJ linked to three of the nations most radical demo cars will be on hand to entertain with some old skool mash-ups amazing passers-by with the clear musical power from the three cars!
The three cars include FOUR’s bonkers FIAT Panda famed for blowing away all-comers at the Modified Nationals earlier in the year. This exceptional PA car will be joined by two others, a Mark I Golf built by FOUR MASTER Source Sounds in Sheffield and a Mazda Pick-up put together by Worthing based FOUR MASTER Highdown. Both cars feature audacious systems comprising stacks of Hertz . Hertz is to show it’s incredible Mark I Golf at the Scottish Car Show 17th July 2011. Main event ICE sponsor Hertz will once again be making the most noise at this weekend’s Scottish Car Show as they wheel out the big guns – a freshly installed Mark I Golf.
Installed by FOUR MASTER Source Sounds in Sheffield, the mad golf is packed to the gunwales with no less than 100 speakers including: 36 X 10″ Energy subs, 14 pairs of Energy 2-way components and 10 pairs of coaxials, 6 pairs of SPL show mid-range speakers and 2 pairs of SPL show tweeters. The front end is driven by nine Hertz HE amplifiers with a monstrous Hertz SPL Show driving all of the subs. Power is provided by seven high power batteries are charged by two 240Amp alternators. The sound is pulled together and shaped using an Audison Bit 1. As you would expect from a Source Sounds install it is not only very, very loud but also sounds incredibly musical just like a massive PA rig!

Hertz HT 20R Supertweeters for sweeter in-car sounds from your FOUR MASTER. Much is made of the need for additional bass reinforcement in the in-car listening environment however, this usually requires an investment in amplifiers and subwoofers which may be a treat which requires saving for. In the meantime, the addition of a pair of high quality tweeters will deliver immediate hi-fi results and could cost a lot less. Developing the sound in your car is often a case of building as and when the budget is available and also when a prticular element of the soundscape in your car needs attention. Most cars need every element to be looked at and there is a good case for looking at the top end reproduction first.
Tweeters carry frequencies which allow our ears to pinpoint exactly where a sound is coming from and therefore, what is known as the stereo image, is very much defined by the quality of reproduction of high frequencies. The Hertz HT20R is a set of ribbon supertweeters complete with crossover which deliver fantastic quality treble tone and help to improve the definition of the stereo image you are listening to. Upgrading speakers in a car is not necessarily as simple as throwing a new pair in. Speakers radiate sound from both the front and rear of the cone.
