Audison Connection Keeps Norwich In Car Entertainment wired. When installing good quality in-car entertainment, care should be taken with cables and wires. All cables and wires add resistance to a signal path and this induces loss of signal and distortion. Whilst you can never completely eliminate these two audio enemies, a FOUR MASTER installer will always recommend ways in which you can minimise them. After all, you may have just spent a considerable amount of money purchasing good quality equipment and to compromise its performance by introducing signal loss and distortion could be considered barmy! Ferarri owners do not put 12″ wheels and top boxes on their new motors but, this is a useful analogy for using sub-standard wires cables and connectors.
Audison Connection consists of three different ranges of cables; First, Best and Sonus all of which have increasing levels of sophistication and technologies to minimise our audio enemies. Audison is owned by Italian design house and manufacturer Elettromedia. With a long heritage in professional audio and mobile electronics, Elettromedia has optimised each range for quality as well as “workability” FOUR MASTER Installers are faced with enough challenges when installing audio into a car. Cable runs often need to be packed into restricted space and curve radius’s need to be quite sharp. For this reason, Audison Connection cables use a unique arrangement of twisted strand technology and hyper flexible coverings to ensure cables can fit into these tight spaces easily. Similarly power distribution blocks and fuse holders are manufactured from low resistance materials and engineered for ease of install as well as aesthetics. A complete install requires a lot of cable and a lack of attention to its quality will seriously affect performance.

You can get to see Hertz SPL Show on show at L&J Audio, Staffordshire right now. This gorgeous range of subwoofers have reinvented the category, so much so, that manufacturer Elettromedia has abandoned the word subwoofer in favour of the more descriptive “Sound Pressure Generator” to differentiate these stunning products from run-of-the-mill subwoofers.
FOUR MASTER showcase store L&J Audio specializes in bass centric products having themselves built many competition winning SPL cars. Always on the look out for bigger, better, louder and more beautiful bass products, L&J must be absolutely delighted with the Hertz SPL Show range. Consisting of Sound Pressure Generators; SX 250D, SX 300D and SX 380D (250mm, 300mm and 380mm respectively) each one capable of shaking the ground when driven with a suitable amplifier and installed with FOUR MASTER know how.
Each product features a triple stacked magnet motor assembly and dual 2 Ohm voice coils. The moving assembly is designed for linear performance over extraordinary excursion ensuring maximum air movement without distortion. A dual spider design and four layer voice coil wound on an extended aluminium former also assists with tonal accuracy at high level. With this amount of powerful movement, a great deal of design effort has gone into making the chassis as rigid as possible. The sheer forces involved required some new thinking on basket design as well as with heat dissipation. From the aluminium coil former to the vented backplate, as much effort has gone into dissipating heat as generating movement. But of course, at this level it is not only the performance that impresses but also the beautifully modelled design attributes which will lead to the visual impact of an installation utilising SPL Show – As the name suggests, they are as much for show as for another purpose.
If you like bass, a trip to L&J Audio is a must. Call on 01543 468321 to make sure they haven’t sold out!

Audiocar Equipment Ltd strikes a chord with cables for car hi-fi. The Chord Cable Company is recognised around the world for excellence in low signal and speaker cables in all sorts of applications. But less is known about its extensive line-up of car stereo products. FOUR MASTERS have unique and exclusive access to Chord’s extensive knowledge and superlative products.
Chord’s signal cable line up consists of five different grades of RCA they are; Crimson, Cobra, Chameleon, Chorus and Anthem each offering benefits to sound through a mix of leading edge innovation as well as the application of existing technology. Crimson features multi strand oxygen free copper conductors with a low density polyethylene dielectric all contained within floating lapped shielding inside a vibration damping PVC covering and terminated with gold-plated RCA connectors. The send and return paths are perfectly matched to avoid any distortion or loss from adjacent cables or internal eddy currents. In contrast, the mouth wateringly expensive Anthem signal cables use a silver plated multi strand signal conductor a silver plated combined shielding system and Teflon insulation inside and out, terminated with ultra low mass silver plated non-compression RCA’s.

Speakers cable is equally highly spec’d and also consists of a number of ranges to suit your performance requirements. Known as; Leyline, Carnival, Odyssey and Epic. Chord also produces a whole range of HDMI cables plus three grades of digital and optical cables. It is a measure of Chord’s desire to lead that even the lowly 3.5mm cable has been given the Chord treatment.
Much has been made of the black art of cables and there affect on audio signals. Chord have taken this on the chin in the past, along with many other manufacturers and have to concede that in the past there have been products which claimed to improve sound but, in analysis offer little or no advantage. Chord are proud to be able to demonstrate the difference their cable has on sound, their technicians are so dedicated to the cause that some can even tell which brand of cable is being used in a system!

Audison Connection, quality car hi-fi cables from The ICE House, Staffordshire are a must have accessory for anyone wanting hi-fi sound in there car. The automotive environment is extremely harsh on low level audio signals. Amplifiers are generally mounted some distance away from the source unit requiring a considerable length of cable to join the two together. A cable carrying low level signal has to be screened in order to reject electro magnetically induced interference from adjacent cables which may be carrying far higher level signal and voltage changes to the vehicle’s systems. It is equally important that long runs of cable and the point of connection are made as loss free as possible. Any resistance will affect signal purity and therefore, overall system performance.

Italian car hi-fi thoroughbreds , Audison has, over some years, developed some of the finest performing and useful accessories and cables for those investing in good quality equipment. After all, their reputation as a hi-fi amplifier and speaker manufacturer is at stake here. It is natural to blame a component with a high price tag if things do not sound quite as they should but, poor performance is just as likely to be caused by poor connections or lossy cable so by taking care of both elements, Audison can be confident that you will get the full potential from the product.
With three distinctly different quality ranges available, Audison Connection provides every cable, connector and fuse/power distribution accessory a top installer needs to ensure close to perfect performance at all times and with excellent design implicit, you will find that your installer will enjoy working with these products. Some cables are hard on the hands and need a good deal of strength in order to get any visible cable layout to look good, but with specially developed coatings and unique strand arrangement, these issues are completely catered for.
